In 1989, Central Christian was instrumental in establishing United Ministries, an organization dedicated to feeding the poor and hungry in Robertson County. CCC, through a joint effort with two area Catholic Churches, made the idea of establishing a food pantry a reality. People in emergency situations, the aged, single mothers and the working poor were targeted for help.
United Ministries of Robertson County provides nutrition needs for people going through traumatic life situations. Food for United Ministries comes through two main sources. Their main source of food is from Second Harvest food bank. The other source is donated by the community or is purchased through Second Harvest.
That’s where you come in! A donation of $20 buys a family a box of food which includes meat, bread, oatmeal or cereal, canned goods and fruit!
